I’ve just landed abroad, however, I cannot connect to a mobile network. What can I do?
When arriving in the country you’re travelling to, your mobile service should automatically connect to a network operator from that country. However, sometimes your mobile may either not connect to a network or it may disconnect. If that happens to you, just follow the steps below.
Android:
- Go to the ‘Settings’ app and then to ‘Connections’
- Tap on ‘Mobile networks’, followed by ‘Network Operators’
- If your Network is set to ‘Automatic’, deactivate this function by pressing the indicator next to ‘Automatic’
- After a few seconds, a number of available networks will start to appear. Choose one of these networks. For a list of our roaming partners and their rates, please visit our Travel page
Apple:
- Go to the ‘Settings’ app, then to ‘Mobile Data’, followed by ‘Network Selection’
- If your Network is set to ‘Automatic’, deactivate this function by swiping the indicator next to ‘Automatic’
- After a few seconds, a number of available networks will start to appear. Choose one of these networks. For a list of our roaming partners and their rates, please visit our Travel page
