What is VoLTE?
Short for Voice over Long Term Evolution, VoLTE is a technology that lets you make voice calls over an LTE (4G/5G) network, giving you a better experience than traditional voice networks so that you can enjoy clearer, more reliable calls.

How to activate VoLTE
We’re rolling out VoLTE activation gradually. If you’re an existing customer you’ll receive a notification as soon as your subscription is fully activated. Meanwhile, all new mobile subscribers joining our network will be automatically set up to enjoy VoLTE’s benefits right away. Here’s what you need to do to activate VoLTE on your iPhone.
For users with 2 SIMs, head to ‘Settings’ > ‘Mobile Service’ (Select the SIM you want to switch VoLTE on) > ‘Voice & Data’ > ‘VoLTE’.

To start off, we’re thrilled to offer VoLTE for iPhone devices, starting from iPhone 7 up to the latest iPhone 16. VoLTE is also available for Samsung Galaxy A25, Galaxy A35, Galaxy A55, Galaxy S21, Galaxy S24 range, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S24 Ultra, Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy A15 , as well as the TCL 505. Having said that, we’re working hard to add more devices to the list soon.
The following Samsung devices will be provisioned with VoLTE in the coming months:
Galaxy A04s and A05s, Galaxy A13, A14, A23, A33, A34, A52, A54, A72, Galaxy Z Flip3, Flip4, Flip5 and Flip6, Galaxy Z Fold3, Fold4, Fold5 and Fold6, Galaxy XCover5, S22 range, S23 range, as well as Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, Tab S8 range and Tab S9 range.

Absolutely, VoLTE lets you use 4G/5G data services while simultaneously making a voice call.
VoLTE is available wherever there is 4G or 5G coverage. If you happen to be in an area where this coverage is not supported, you can still make or receive calls over 2G and 3G networks.
Starting in 2025, VoLTE will be available for roaming in areas where our partner networks support it. Until then, you can still make or receive calls over 2G or 3G with our roaming partners. And guess what? When you travel abroad, your phone settings stay the same and VoLTE will work in areas we’ve tested and confirmed for roaming.
Not at all. VoLTE works perfectly with your existing voice and data plan. Just sit back and enjoy the enhanced experience.
Good news. VoLTE calls do not use your data allowance. In fact, calls are billed as regular voice calls according to your plan, so there will be no changes to your voice call bills.
There are no extra charges for using VoLTE. Calls are billed at the same rate as regular voice calls based on your plan so you can go ahead and enjoy VoLTE’s benefits without a worry.
